Peter Parker Ruins Doctor Strange's Spell in New SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME Clip
"Nice knowing you, Spider-Man."
A new clip from Spider-Man: No Way Home has been released, and it features Doctor Strange performing the spell that will make the world forget that Peter Parker is Spider-Man. As you’ll see, Peter keeps interrupting Strange and messes up the spell. This mistake will break open the multiverse, and Spider-Man will find himself facing off with Spider-Man villains from across the multiverse.
Those villains include Alfred Molina as Doc Ock, Jamie Foxx as Electro, Willem Dafoe back in the role of Green Goblin, Sandman, and Lizard. Maybe even more that haven’t been revealed yet! The next chapter of the Spider-Man franchise sure is going to be fun! I’m most excited about Molina and Dafoe coming back as Doc Ock and Green Goblin. I don’t care what else happens, that in itself is going to be so cool!
In a recent interview with The Project, Tom Holland explained that making this making this movie was almost like making The Avengers. He said:
"It absolutely did [feel bigger than past Spider-Man movies]. In some respects, it felt the same, we were back in Atlanta with the same cast and crew. And then, in other respects, it felt like a completely different franchise. We were having these villains come back reprising these roles, the action sequences are much bigger, it's much funnier, it's much more emotional, the stakes are much higher. So it really did feel like we were kind of making this almost like an Avengers movie.”
Check out the clip below:
In the movie, “for the first time in the cinematic history of Spider-Man, our friendly neighborhood hero's identity is revealed, bringing his Super Hero responsibilities into conflict with his normal life and putting those he cares about most at risk. When he enlists Doctor Strange’s help to restore his secret, the spell tears a hole in their world, releasing the most powerful villains who’ve ever fought a Spider-Man in any universe. Now, Peter will have to overcome his greatest challenge yet, which will not only forever alter his own future but the future of the Multiverse.”
The movie also stars Tom Holland as Peter Parker, Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange, Zendaya as MJ, Jacob Batalon as Ned, Marisa Tomei as Aunt May, Tony Revolori as Flash, and Hannibal Buress as Coach Wilson.
The Jon Watts-directed film is to to be released in theaters on December 17, 2021.
