Phil Lord and Chris Miller Are Developing a Series Reboot of CLONE HIGH For MTV

Phil Lord and Chris Miller (The LEGO Movie, 21 Jump Street) are going to reboot the animated series Clone High for MTV, alongside the show’s co-creator Bill Lawrence.

Like the original, the Clone High reboot “will follow prominent historical figures who have been cloned and placed back in high school, including Abraham Lincoln, Cleopatra, Joan of Arc, John F. Kennedy and more, as they face the trials and tribulations of normal teenage life.”

Erica Rivinoja (Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs, Trolls), who was a writer in the original series, will co-write the pilot with Lord and Miller, and share will serve as showrunner.

Chris McCarthy, president of ViacomCBS Entertainment and Youth Group said in a statement:

“We thrilled to reunite with Phil Lord, Chris Miller and Bill Lawrence to re-imagine this cult classic as we rapidly grow our portfolio of beloved and iconic adult animation series.”

I never actually watched the original Clone High, I heard about it, but it was released during a time when I just wasn’t watching a lot of TV. If you did watch Clone High, are you excited to hear that Lord and Miller and rebooting it?

Written by Liam Lynch and performed by the Abandoned Pools.
