Phoebe Waller-Bridge (Fleabag) has joined Lucasfilm and Disney’s Indiana Jones 5, and she will star alongside franchise star Harrison Ford.

In addition, it was announced that John Williams will return to score the film. He’s been scoring these films since Raiders of the Lost Ark! The franchise wouldn’t be the same without him.

The director of the film, James Mangold (Logan, Ford Vs. Ferrari), said in a statement:

“I'm thrilled to be starting a new adventure, collaborating with a dream team of all-time great filmmakers. Steven, Harrison, Kathy, Frank, and John are all artistic heroes of mine. When you add Phoebe, a dazzling actor, brilliant creative voice and the chemistry she will undoubtedly bring to our set, I can't help but feel as lucky as Indiana Jones himself.”

There are no details regarding the story that the film will tell, but it is said to be “packed with all the epic thrills, suspense, romance and excitement that fans have come to expect from an Indiana Jones movie, have become as beloved and familiar as the adventurer-hero’s signature hat and whip.”

Kathleen Kennedy, Steven Spielberg, Frank Marshall, and Simon Emanuel will serve as producers. The fifth installment of the franchise will be released on July 29th, 2022.
