Phoebe Waller-Bridge Joins Ryan Reynolds in Director John Krasinski‘s Fantasy Comedy Film
Phoebe Waller-Bridge (Fleabag) and Fiona Shaw (Killing Eve) are set to join the ensemble cast of writer and director John Krasinski‘s upcoming untitled fantasy-comedy film for Paramount Pictures.
Krasinski not only is writing and directing the film, he’s also set to star in it opposite Ryan Reynolds. All we really know about the story right now is that it’s based on an original idea from Krasinski about a child’s journey to rediscover their imagination.
There’s a great group of talent coming together for Krasinksi’s film, and I’m curious to see what he’s got cooking for this one. I’m interested in seeing how he ends up playing with the fantasy genre.
Waller-Bridge is the Emmy Award-winning creator of the smash British series Fleabag and AMC/BBC's Killing Eve. The British writer, actor, and producer is now working on Indiana Jones 5 and contributed to the script for James Bond's latest film, No Time to Die.
Shaw starred in Killing Eve and guest-starred on Fleabag, so Waller-Bridge and Shaw aren't strangers. Shaw's other roles include Ammonite and Aunt Petunia Dursley in the Harry Potter films. The Irish actress will next be seen in Disney+'s Star Wars series Andor.
The movie is set to star shooting in the summer of 2022, and it will open in theaters on November 17, 2023.
