Photographer Takes Aim at Bullying with Awesome AVENGERS Photoshoot
The vast majority of kids are awesome and amazing. Then, you have some jerks. Sadly, those jerks decide to bully the awesome kids. This is a very real problem and I don’t expect it to disappear overnight, but I hope that we can all agree that bullying is wrong and should be stopped. Josh Rossi and his wife Roxanna certainly agree that this is a problem that needs to be addressed and so they did something awesome. They teamed up with 15 kids who were the victims of bullying and turned them into superheroes. With the help of Julie Whitely, Versa Artistry, and Eve Keener, the children were dressed up as different characters from Avengers: Infinity War to tackle the biggest bully of them all, Thanos. Rossi said this of the photoshoot:
“After recently seeing the trailer for the new Avenger’s movie, my wife Roxana and I were inspired to bring bullied kids together to provide a platform where their voices could be heard. In the movie, the bully of the universe, Thanos, comes to take over the world, but the Avengers unite to destroy him.
Each Avenger has unique differences and strengths ranging from green and purple skin to being able to stop time. Without each superhero’s strength and power, their efforts to defeat Thanos will be unsuccessful.
Similar to bullying, as we unite against it we can stop it.”
The costumes and makeup are simply phenomenal. These kids are amazing. If you’re interested to learn more about the photoshoot or the kids themselves, head over to Rossi’s site where you can read their stories. Also, here’s a cool video about the shoot that features a couple of the kids.
