PIKMIN 3 DELUXE Lands on Nintendo Switch This October

Nintendo’s days of porting Wii U games to the Nintendo Switch aren’t over yet. The video game company recently announced that Pikmin 3 Deluxe is coming to the Switch with all the fun from the Wii U version with more cooperative play options, new content, and “a range of settings that make it easy for newcomers to jump in.” Players will now be able to complete the entirety of the Story mode with a friend in co-op, new side missions (also available with co-op play), and all the Mission mode DLC stages. New players like myself are sure to enjoy the new difficulty options, lock-on targeting, optional hints, and “the choice to play at a more relaxed pace.”

The in-game camera is returning to provide fans with the ability to enjoy taking pictures of the environments and creatures from a certain point of view. We’ll also be able to go head-to-head with friends in the multiplayer Bingo Battle matches. Nick Chavez of Nintendo of America released the following statement:

Pikmin 3 Deluxe brings this classic franchise to life on Nintendo Switch, introducing a new audience to its beloved characters and gameplay, while also welcoming back returning players with new challenges. With Pikmin 3 Deluxe, the Nintendo Switch library of software continues to grow with a variety of games for everyone to discover and enjoy.

Pikmin 3 Deluxe is launching on Nintendo Switch on October 30.
