Pixel Dice are Electronic Dice that Look Sweet
Many people love making dice and many more love to collect dice. Well, Pixels are new electronic dice that everyone is getting pumped for. The dice feature LED lights that glow when you roll including putting on a fun display when a natural 20 is rolled. In addition, Bluetooth technology allows you to program the dice to change the lights, have the dice tell you what they rolled through an app, and much more. These dice look absolutely awesome and I’m not alone as the Kickstarter project at the time of writing has reached over $2.1 million. Backers have the chance to get a variety of dice including an entire 7-dice set, so your 20-sided die isn’t the only special one. Also, if you pledge $39 or more to actually get dice, you get to choose which dice you want, you don’t need to get a d20 if you don’t feel you need another one.
Another aspect I love about the new Pixel dice is that the campaign says that they’re currently working with D&D Beyond, Roll20 and other platforms to have the dice become integrated with them. This means you could potentially roll your physical die and then have the result pop up on your screen for the rest of your group to see. It could also lead to automatic calculation with bonuses so you spend less time doing math and more time kicking butt.
Pixel dice look awesome and you’ll want to hurry as there are less than 25 days left in the Kickstarter.
