Platinum Dunes is Developing a New Holiday Horror Film in The Vein of SCREAM

Platinum Dunes, the producers behind the most recent hit film A Quiet Place, has sold a new horror film project to Sony Pictures and they are hoping that they have another big horror movie hit on their hands.

There's no title for the film and there aren't really any story details. But we do know that it's a holiday set horror film and it's said to be in the vein of I Know What You Did Last Summer and Scream. 

The script will be written by Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan, who made the pitch to the studio. These guys have previously worked on films such as the Saw movies, The Collector films, and they just finished a film called Rate Your Stay which was set up at Lionsgate and The Reckoning at Paramount. 

I'm always up for a good holiday horror film, so it'll be interesting to see how this turns out.
