Plot and Possible Co-Star Revealed for Jennifer Lawrence's New Film

Last week we reported that Jennifer Lawrence (Silver Linings Playbook, Mother!) was back in the acting game after taking a year long sabbatical from her career and is coming back to star in a movie we don’t have a name for yet, but we know that Broadway director Lila Neugebauer is attached to the project as a first time feature director for the project. Now we have a plot for the movie, and a possible co-star for Lawrence.

Collider reported the following story the movie will tell:

Written by first-time screenwriter Elizabeth Sanders, the new film will find Lawrence playing a U.S. solider who suffers a traumatic brain injury in Afghanistan and struggles to recover back home.

And it is also reported that Brian Tyree Henry (Atlanta, If Beale Street Could Talk) is in talks to co-star in the film. Henry has not yet accepted the offer, so the role is still up in the air, but he is a solid possibility. We still have a long way to go as far as cast and storyline on this movie, but I am excited by the lead as well as the co-star prospect, and I’m absolutely intrigued by the plot.

Production is set to begin shooting this June in New Orleans. Does this sound like a film you’ll be excited to see?
