Plot Details About That Steve Trevor WONDER WOMAN Photo
This past weekend Said Taghmaoui posted a photo of himself with Chris Pine, who is supposed to be playing Steve Trevor in Wonder Woman. There seemed to be some confusion among people regarding the period setting attire he was wearing. A lot of people thought we would see the character in a modern day setting. Here it looks like 1930/1940s type gear.
Well, thanks to Heroic Hollywood, we have some possible new information for you about that. This hasn’t been confirmed, so we will treat it as a rumor. Like a lot of rumors, it makes for good conversation with our friends and fellow geeks. They could include SPOILERS, though, so proceed with caution.
The picture that was released is not of Steve Trevor. The site's inside sources say that it might actually be his grandfather. The site explains:
You see, during the World War One section of the movie, Steve Trevor's grandfather is the one that crashes on the island and meets Gal Gadot's Diana. Grandpa Trevor is the one who shows Diana the outside world and helps her beat Ares. He then passes away.
In modern times, Diana meet's Grandpa Trevor's descendant THAT LOOKS EXACTLY like him, and helps her battle Ares again. So Chris Pine is playing a dual role. Both Steve Trevor and Grandpa Trevor. Makes total sense when you think about it and within the realm of possibility.
My only issue with this is that they say it’s set in World War I. It seems more likely that it would be World War II. WWI took place from 1914 to 1918. That would be great-grandfather kind of material. So it seems to me that it would be a WWII setting.
It’s also rumored that Taghmaoui will be playing a superhero in the movie. We just don’t exactly know who that would be if true.
Wonder Woman is currently shooting in London and is set to hit theaters on June 23rd, 2017.
