Plot Details Revealed for Daniel Craig's Last 007 Outing in NO TIME TO DIE
Daniel Craig is coming up on his fifth and final James Bond film, No Time To Die, and we have a few new details about the film. In a recent spread in Entertainment Weekly, Craig and his co-stars were photographed, and readers were given a little insight into the new film.
007 left off in the last film, Spectre (2015), having run off with the lovely Madeleine (Lea Seydoux) in an attempt to have a normal life. But producer Barbara Broccoli says we will find out that didn’t exactly go as planned:
“He decided to go off with her and try to have a normal life. Which, of course, we completely blow a hole through at the beginning of this one. He starts off on a romantic journey with Madeleine and then believes that he’s been betrayed by her.”
Seydoux added:
“S— happens! Everything falls apart.”
The report goes on to explain what pulls Bond back into his old life:
Bond is lured back into the spy game by his old CIA pal Felix Leiter (Jeffrey Wright), who asks him for help rescuing a kidnapped scientist (David Dencik from Top of the Lake). This leads Bond to Cuba and onto the trail of Malek’s mysterious Safin.
Broccoli describes Rami Malek’s mysterious villain Safin as “a mean old thing.” And speaking on the facial scarring on his character that we’ve seen in the film’s trailer, Malek said:
“Let’s just say that there are some immense challenges [he] has faced in his life.”
This should be a great film with such a talented cast. I hope they have a great sendoff for Craig, who has been a great Bond.
What do you think of the details we have so far for the film? No Time To Die hits theaters on April 10, 2020.
