POKEMON BRILLIANT DIAMOND, SHINING PEARL, and LEGENDS: ARCEUS Get Release Dates
Earlier this year, The Pokémon Company announced some upcoming games that fans immediately swooned for. Gen 4 fans are getting their remakes in Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl in what is described as “faithful remakes” and with an art style that I personally love. Now, we know to expect these games on November 19 on the Nintendo Switch. Pre-orders are available now!
Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl are faithful remakes of Pokémon Diamond Version and Pokémon Pearl Version, which were released on the Nintendo DS system in 2006. Whether or not players have explored the Sinnoh region before, they can look forward to this great adventure, reborn on Nintendo Switch. The original story has been faithfully reproduced, and various game functions have been colorfully revitalized. Trainers can expect an adventure through the Sinnoh region that feels both nostalgic and fresh.
The other new game is Pokémon Legends: Arceus. This is a new kind of Pokémon game that looks to play out more like an RPG title and many cannot wait to play it. It was recently announced that fans will be able to play this hotly anticipated title on January 28 on the Nintendo Switch. Also, we got our first look at the cover art showing Mount Coronet towering over the Sinnoh region. You can pre-order the game now!
In Pokémon Legends: Arceus, the Pokémon series takes a bold new direction, fusing action with RPG elements. The game takes place in the Sinnoh region of the past, long before the events of Pokémon Diamond Version and Pokémon Pearl Version. As the game’s protagonist, the player will set out to create and complete the region’s first Pokédex by catching, surveying, and researching the wild Pokémon that live there.
In addition to these big announcements, Pokémon Home is getting a new update that will bring with it the Catch Calendar. This feature will allow users to sort their Pokémon by the date they were captured allowing you to revisit fond memories. You’ll also be able to view any Pokémon in your Pokédex from different angles. Finally, in celebration of the update, it appears that users will be gifted a Bulbasaur and a Squirtle, both of which will have the ability to Gigantamax when fully evolved into Venusaur and Blastoise respectively. Unfortunately, there’s no word on when the update will happen.
