POKEMON GO to Introduce a New Method for Gathering PokeCoins From Home
Thanks to social distancing and this whole COVID-19 pandemic, I’ve been unable to get my PokéCoins in Pokémon GO. I haven’t been around any Pokémon Gyms, so I can’t leave Pokémon and get coins. However, the team over at Niantic recognizes this and they’re working on an update that will allow players to gain PokéCoins from home. The team is adjusting it so that players can now earn up to 55 coins a day with Pokémon in Gyms earning 2 per hour instead of 6. However, what will happen instead is that you’ll be able to complete daily activities to receive 5 PokéCoins. Some of the daily activities are as follows:
Make an Excellent Throw
Evolve a Pokémon
Make a Great Throw
Use a Berry to help catch a Pokémon
Take a snapshot of your buddy
Catch a Pokémon
Power up a Pokémon
Make a Nice Throw
Transfer a Pokémon
Win a raid
Niantic will be rolling this update out to Australia first and after collecting feedback and doing a little more testing, will roll this update out to the rest of the world. I’m excited to have a new way to get PokéCoins, are you?
