POKEMON HOME Will Be a Cloud-Based Storage Solution for Your Pokemon Needs

During the 2019 Pokémon press conference we got some details on a few projects. The first was Pokémon Home (around the 13:40 mark). This is a new cloud-based system being released by Game Freak that will let you move your Pokémon from your 3DS games, Nintendo Switch games, and even Pokémon Go around. You can even use it to trade with friends using just your phone. Want that Decidueye from Pokémon Moon in your game of Pokémon Sword? Now you can.

It was said in the press conference that Pokémon Home will support games past Shield and Sword. It was also revealed that fans can expect the service to launch in “Early 2020.” Of course, what they didn’t mention is how much it’ll cost. My guess is that it’ll run roughly $5 per month. Are you going to be signing up for this service to move all your Pokémon around? Could be a great way to free up some storage in Pokémon Go.
