POKEMON TCG Collection Sells for Just Over $100,000

I loved collecting and playing the Pokémon Trading Card Game. Of course, many of my cards are not in the greatest condition, but there are collectors out there who take much better care of their cards.

For one such collector, it paid off too, as they sold a collection of 103 cards in Gem Mint 10 condition for $107,010 at this past weekend’s Goldin Auctions. This collection features some cards that are reported to have less than 50 in such pristine condition.

We don’t know everything that was included, but we do know that the coveted 1st edition Charizard as well as holographic versions of Alakazam, Blastoise, and Chansey. That is quite the find.
