Possible New Story Details and New Character Revealed for Daniel Craig's Final Bond Film NO TIME TO DIE

The upcoming James Bond film No Time To Die has been highly anticipated by fans, so it’s been a bummer that is was one of the films to be pushed back by the pandemic. Daniel Craig’s final outing as 007 was supposed to have been released back in April, but has since been pushed to a U.K. release on November 12th, 2020 with worldwide release dates to follow, and the U.S. launch on November 25th, 2020.

The movie stars Daniel Craig as the secret agent, Ralph Fiennes as M, Naomie Harris as Moneypenny, and Ben Whishaw as Q, with Rory Kinnear as Tanner, Lea Seydoux as Madeleine Swann, Christoph Waltz as Blofeld, and Jeffrey Wright as Felix Leiter. New cast members include Dali Benssalah, Billy Magnussen, Ana de Armas, David Dencik, and Lashana Lynch.

In a recently reported Italian casting call sheet that was posted on Ebay, we got some new key scene and character information that could be some heavy spoilers. So, just in case:

This information was gathered by CB. It was pulled from casting sheets by Bond fan site MI6-HQ:

  • Game Night and Tell Me a Story actor Billy Magnussen plays Ash, a CIA agent who will be pitted against Bond in the climax of the third act as he will be 'coordinating the pursuit of Bond' in his Defender.

  • There is additional info on scenes from the trailer, including Bond and Madeleine (Léa Seydoux) swimming in Puglia, Italy's famous "Cave of Poetry," as well as the DB5 car chase sequence in where Bond and Madeleine seem to have a crisis of trust. And we get some car-gunfire stunts.

  • Safin's island lair is confirmed to be a submarine pen.

No Time to Die has a late scene set in Safin’s (Rami Malek) island lair that features Madeleine, new 007 character Nomi (Lashana Lynch), and a little 5-year-old girl named Mathilde, played by Lisa-Dorah Sonnet.

The call sheet apparently lists several key scenes featuring Mathilde, including:

  • Scene #201: EXT DEAD TREE, FOGGY FOREST - "Bond sees a hiding place" (Bond, Mathilde)

  • Scene #235: EXT RIB - "Nomi pilots Madeleine and Mathilde to safety with island in the background"

  • Scene #243: EXT NEARBY ISLAND - Coverage and wide shot (Madeleine, Nomi, Mathilde)

  • Scene #253: INT VANTAGE, MATERA - "Madeleine is going to tell Mathilde a story, they drive into a tunnel"

MI6-HQ theorizes that No Time to Die starts soon after the events of Spectre, but Safin’s connection to Madeleine – they knew each other as children – creates a rift between Madeleine and Bond, and Bond ends up retiring. The main story of No Time to Die begins five years later with Bond being called out of retirement in Jamaica Nomi has become the new 007, and MI6 has moved on from the Bond era.

The speculated twist is that Safin is working on cloning, and that Mathilde will turn out to be a clone of Madeleine that he grew - possibly using her as a hostage to bend Madeleine's loyalties.

The speculation continues that Craig will take his final curtain call as Bond steps into a new role as Mathilde’s father. Bond did unknowingly impregnate Kissy Suzuki in the book You Only Live Twice, so Bond’s fatherhood is sort of present in the novels.

So that’s all conjecture for now, but pretty interesting! How would you like to see the final Daniel Craig Bond film wrap? No Time To Die hits US theaters on November 25th.
