Poster and Opening Date Announced For Disney World's STAR WARS: RISE OF THE RESISTANCE Attraction
Disney has announced that the highly anticipated Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance attraction is set to open up at Walt Disney World on December 5th, 2019.
That date might be familiar to some of you Disney fans because that is, in fact, Walt Disney’s birthday. The announcement says, “What better way to honor the ultimate storyteller than by introducing the most immersive and advanced attraction ever imagined in a Disney Park.”
So what will this attraction offer fans? Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance will “blur the lines between fantasy and reality and will put guests in the middle of a climactic battle between the First Order and the Resistance. Guests will be recruited to join Rey and General Organa at a secret base. Along the way, they will be captured by a First Order Star Destroyer. With the help of some heroes of the Resistance, they break out and must escape the Star Destroyer, protect the secret base, and stay one step ahead of Kylo Ren.”
That sounds like a ton of fun! As soon as work is completed at Walt Disney World, the Disney Imagineers will head back to California to complete the attraction at Disneyland where Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance will open on Friday, January 17th.
I’m sure we’ll learn a lot more about this attraction and what it will be like at D23 later this summer.
