Poster Art For Legendary's TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE Reboot - 'The Face of Madness Returns'
Legendary Pictures has shared a piece of poster art for its upcoming reboot of The Texas Chainsaw Massare. The studio has also launched a new website for the film, which is being helmed by David Blue Garcia (Tejano) and written by Chris Thomas Devlin.
The caption on the new poster reads: “In 1974, the world witnessed one of the most bizarre crimes in the annals of American history. In 2021, the face of madness returns.”
This new movie “returns to the roots of the Hooper and Kim Henkel creation that was considered one of the scariest films of its era, even though most of the splatter was implied and not shown.” It’s explained that this sequel picks up where Tobe Hooper’s classic 1974 film left off.
I’m curious to see how this turns out, but I’ve got low expectations. Normally these reboots of classic horror films don’t turn out so well.
The original movie followed two siblings, and three of their friends en route to visit their grandfather’s grave in Texas. On their journey, they end up falling victim to a family of cannibalistic psychopaths and must survive the terrors of Leatherface and his family.
Evil Dead and Don’t Breathe director Fede Alvarez is producing the film. What are your thoughts on this film? Do you think it’ll be good? Is it something you’re even interested in watching?
