Poster Art For Mike Flanagan's Horror Series MIDNIGHT MASS; New Trailer Coming Next Week
Netflix has released a new poster for the creepy upcoming horror series Midnight Mass. I’m very excited about this series because it was created by Mike Flanagan, the director of The Haunting of Hill House and Doctor Sleep. He’s just such a great storyteller and it looks like this is going to be a great story!
The series is set on Crockett Island, an isolated island community that experiences miraculous events and frightening omens following the arrival of a charismatic, mysterious young priest.
Midnight Mass “tells the tale of a small, isolated island community whose existing divisions are amplified by the return of a disgraced young man (Zach Gilford) and the arrival of a charismatic priest (Hamish Linklater). When Father Paul’s appearance on Crockett Island coincides with unexplained and seemingly miraculous events, a renewed religious fervor takes hold of the community – but do these miracles come at a price?”
The cast includes Zach Gilford (Friday Night Lights, The Purge: Anarchy), Kate Siegel (The Haunting of Hill House), and Hamish Linklater (Legion) set in lead roles. Joining them are Annabeth Gish (The Haunting of Hill House), Michael Trucco (Hunter Killer), Samantha Sloyan (Grey’s Anatomy), Henry Thomas (The Haunting of Hill House), Rahul Abburi (Killer Ransom), Crystal Balint (The Bletchley Circle: San Francisco), Matt Biedel (Altered Carbon), Alex Essoe (Doctor Sleep), Rahul Kohli (Supergirl), Kristin Lehman (The Chronicles of Riddick), Robert Longstreet (Doctor Sleep), Igby Rigney (Blue Bloods) and Annarah Shephard.
Flanagan has said that that Midnight Mass is his “favorite project so far.” We will be treated with a new trailer next week, so stay tuned for that!
Midnight Mass premieres on Netflix on September 24.
