Paramount Pictures has shared a poster for its upcoming highly anticipated film Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins. The poster features the film’s star Henry Golding wearing his Snake Eyes costume and holding the character’s iconic helmet.

It was also announced that the first trailer for the film will drop this Sunday during the MTV Awards.

Yesterday a bunch of photos from the film were released showing off all of the main characters including Samara Weaving as Scarlett, Ursula Corbero as The Baroness, Andrew Koji as Storm Shadow, and Haruka Abe as Akiko. The movie also stars Tahehiro Hira as Kenta and Iko Uwais as Hard Master.

In the film, Snake Eyes is “a tenacious loner who is welcomed into an ancient Japanese clan called the Arashikage after saving the life of their heir apparent. Upon arrival in Japan, the Arashikage teach Snake Eyes the ways of the ninja warrior while also providing something he’s been longing for: a home. But, when secrets from his past are revealed, Snake Eyes’ honor and allegiance will be tested – even if that means losing the trust of those closest to him.”

I really hope this ends up being the great G.I. Joe movie that fans have been waiting for. Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins was directed by Robert Schwentke and it opens in theaters on July 23, 2021.
