POWER RANGERS and STREET FIGHTER Team Up for Short Film Later This Year

In case you missed it, I’m a big fan of Power Rangers. If you’re also a fan, you may have tried out Power Rangers Legacy Wars on iOS or Android. I thought it was really interesting when the game brought in Street Fighter characters, but it was kind of a fun idea. Apparently, this idea has become amazingly popular as we’re now getting a short film about this. A trailer was just released for it and it looks interesting. Ryu will get the Crimson Hawk Power Coin which will allow him to morph into the Ryu Ranger (I am not making this up, I promise) in order to help defeat M. Bison and Rita Repulsa. Of course, no Power Rangers project would be complete without an appearance by Jason David Frank. Frank is the most iconic Ranger and he’s friends with the guys at Bat in the Sun who have been chosen as the production company for this short film. Here’s the full synopsis if you have questions:

After he and his friends were sucked into the Morphin Grid, Ryu was presented with his own Crimson Hawk Power Coin, allowing him to morph into the Ryu Ranger, and team up with the Power Rangers to take on the deadly duo of M. Bison and Rita Repulsa. Combining his Crimson Hawk Power Coin with the power of Hado, Ryu Ranger’s Hadoken takes the shape of the hawk, lifting his opponents into the air, and his Tatsumaki uses the strength of a hawk’s wings to trap his opponents.

Power Rangers Legacy Wars: Street Fighter Showdown is scheduled to be released this Fall. Be sure to check out the trailer below.
