POWER RANGERS Disney+ Reboot Reportedly Casts Its Red, Blue, and Pink Rangers

The long-gestating Power Rangers reboot at Disney+ is finally starting to take shape. After months of rumors pointing to a wide casting search, it’s now being reported that three core Rangers have been locked in.

While Disney hasn’t made anything official yet, multiple insider sources are aligning on who will suit up first, and it includes the team’s Red, Blue, and Pink Rangers.

According to Power Rangers insider Jinsakuu, the Red Ranger has been cast, with The Legacy of Nerd adding details that round out most of the team.

The reports claim that Peyton Elizabeth Lee will lead the charge as the Red Ranger, Joel Oulette will take on the Blue Ranger, and Momona Tamada has landed the Pink Ranger role. That leaves only the Black and Yellow Rangers still unaccounted for, though at this pace it doesn’t seem like we’ll be waiting long.

If accurate, Peyton Elizabeth Lee stepping into the Red Ranger role would be a notable moment for the franchise. Lee is already well known to Disney audiences thanks to her starring roles in Andi Mack and Doogie Kamealoha, M.D..

Her film credits include Secret Society of Second Born Royals, Descendants 3, and the 2024 horror film Carved. If this casting holds, she’ll become the third female Red Ranger in Power Rangers history, following Lauren in Samurai and Amelia in Cosmic Fury.

The Blue Ranger is reportedly going to Joel Oulette, an actor who’s quietly built a strong resume across TV and streaming.

Oulette recently starred as Thunder in the animated series Splinter Cell: Deathwatch and is also part of the Disney family as Robbie Hood in the Descendants franchise, a role he’s set to reprise in Descendants: Wicked Wonderland. His past credits also include Avatar: The Last Airbender, Sullivan’s Crossing, and My Life with the Walter Boys.

Rounding out the trio is Momona Tamada as the Pink Ranger. Tamada made a big impression as Ty Lee in season one of Avatar: The Last Airbender and is set to return for the already highly anticipated second season.

Her other projects include The Baby-Sitters Club, The Spiderwick Chronicles, the video game Assassin’s Creed Shadows, and most recently the series Happy Face, where she starred as Eve.

With three Rangers reportedly cast, the reboot feels closer to becoming real than it ever has. There’s still no word on who the main villain will be, and while Rita Repulsa feels like the obvious choice, nothing has been confirmed on that front. For now, all eyes are on who will fill out the remaining Black and Yellow Ranger roles.

The Power Rangers reboot currently has no release date, but casting news like this suggests Disney+ is finally ready to bring the franchise back in a big way.
