POWER RANGERS: HEROES OF THE GRID Next Wave of Expansions Now Live on Kickstarter
Renegade Game Studios has launched the Kickstarter for the first wave of the third phase of content for Power Rangers: Heroes of the Grid. I am very excited. We already know a bit about Rangers United and some of the other goodies, but let’s just go over them again really quick. Rangers United is the big box expansion and comes with 3 new location boards, 2 Megazords, 7 Rangers (the Omega Rangers, the 3 core Beast Morphers Rangers, and Ellarien the Violet Solar Ranger), 7 Zords, 12 Tronix from Beast Morphers, 3 Monsters (Darkonda from In Space and Blaze and Roxy from Beast Morphers), 1 Nemesis (Dayne from the comics), and 1 Boss (Kiya the Omega Blue Ranger gone rogue). I’m a little sad that we won’t see Kiya as a good guy in this expansion, but I am excited to see Dayne in the game.
Then, in the Dino Thunder Pack, we’ve already known that we’re getting the rest of the Dino Thunder team (Red, Blue, Yellow, and White) as well as the evil White Ranger. It will also be coming with the 4 Zords for the respective Rangers and the Thundersaurus Megazord. It’ll be interesting to see if they bring in more of the Zords later on.
A lot of fans are pumped for the Ranger Allies Pack #2. This comes with the Green Samurai Ranger, Titanium Ranger from Lightspeed Rescue, Jungle Fury Wolf Ranger, Silver Space Ranger, and HyperForce Green Ranger along with their respective Zords and the Lightspeed Solarzord for the Megazord. A lot of fan favorites are in this pack.
Finally, we have Villain Pack #4: A Dark Turn. This includes Astronema from In Space and Mesagog from Dino Thunder as Bosses, Ecliptor from In Space and Elsa from Dino Thunder as Monsters, and Zeltrax as a Nemesis. This is a really cool combination and completely finishes both seasons outside of random monsters and maybe Darkliptor if you wanted to do something with him. I will say that overall, the art is really cool although many fans did not recognize Mesogog at all. His art does look very different, but I’m still very excited to see him in action.
That’s not all that the Kickstarter is offering though. In addition, the second set of Ranger Dice with orange, purple, and silver dice; a promo figure for the Green Samurai Ranger in Super Samurai Mode; and Zord Pack #1 which comes with the 6 Ninja Zords and the 2 Ninja Megazords are also available. This is really cool and opens up a lot of room for future expansions thanks to the idea of Zord Packs. This should especially help in seasons that have multiple Zords per Ranger without dedicating whole expansions to them. We don’t need a second Zeo expansion for the Super Zeo Zords, a simple pack would be perfect.
This Kickstarter will run through July 2, so hurry and go grab the expansions you want. You can get all of the new stuff for $185 including the promotional items.
