POWER RANGERS: HEROES OF THE GRID Officially Reveals the Machine Empire Villain Expansion and Details for RISE OF THE PSYCHO RANGERS
Today is the day Power Rangers fans. Scott Gaeta of Renegade Game Studios gave the official reveal for Villain Pack 2: Machine Empire of Power Rangers: Heroes of the Grid. Fans already knew that the Machine Empire from Power Rangers Zeo was going to make its way to the game via some fun teases on social media, but now we get to see more of what to expect instead of just speculation. As we learn from the box art, we’ll get King Mondo, Prince Gasket, Princess Archerina, Louie Kaboom, and General Venjix. Based on the layout of the box, I’m assuming that Louie Kaboom and General Venjix will be Monsters while the three royal family members are new Bosses.
I’m really interested to see how these guys play and differ from the villains we already have and they’re perfect for when you want those epic Zeo games using the recently released Zeo Rangers expansion. They’re not the only bad guys though. Remember, We’re also getting the Rise of the Psycho Rangers expansion as well and it comes not only with the 5 core Rangers from In Space, but it comes with the dastardly evil Psycho Rangers!
I’m extremely interested to learn how the Psycho Rangers work in the game as they’re arguably stronger versions of the Power Rangers, but I guess we’ll just have to wait. The miniatures look so fantastic for all of these and I cannot wait to get them and paint them. I think I’m more excited for Rise of the Psycho Rangers, but that’s a small margin.
During the stream, Gaeta also teased a new gameplay mode called Mastermind. Unfortunately, we’ll have to wait until the Kickstarter campaign to learn more. In addition, a storage box was announced for all the cards from the game aand its expansions organized! I always love it when these things get released. It’ll include dividers and a box for oversized cards, so there’s a lot to look forward to. More details will be revealed during the campaign.
The Kickstarter campaign for Rise of the Psycho Rangers and Villain Pack 2 will launch on May 12 and run for two weeks.
