POWER RANGERS HYPERFORCE Returns in Comic Form This Summer
Back in the day, there was a Power Rangers tabletop RPG web-series called Power Rangers Hyperforce. This has become a fan favorite entry in Power Rangers history and now the Hyperforce Rangers are being given another shot via comics. Power Rangers Unlimited: Hyperforce is a recently announced comic from BOOM! Studios that will see the HyperForce Rangers needing to look for help to defeat Mistress Vile and Dark Specter who have invaded the Morphin Grid. This series is written by Melissa Flores (Radiant Pink) and Meghan Camarena (Radiant Pink) who were both involved with Hyperforce with art by Federico Sabbatini (Moon Knight) and colors by Bryan Valenza (Witchblade).
Mistress Vile, formerly known as Rita Repulsa, and Dark Specter have invaded the Morphin Grid! As the dark contagion spreads and puts the Rangers in their most vulnerable state yet, the HyperForce Rangers will have to scour the multiverse for as many unexpected allies as they can, while they’re pushed to their limits…
Talking about the series, Flores said:
HYPERFOOORCE! It's nearly impossible to put into words how excited I am to be revisiting the special group of chaotic misfits that is the HyperForce team with Meghan, Federico and BOOM! Studios. I've never forgotten the incredible amount of love the TTRPG series received from the fans, and I'm so thankful to be able to pay back just a little bit of that with a new adventure for them in this medium.
Camarena also shared her excitement:
WE DID IT! Hyperforce lives thanks to the incredible Melissa Flores, Frederico Sabbatini, and BOOM! Studios. Together, we’re telling the Hyperforce tale right where it left off and you’re never going to guess where it takes us. Thank you to the fans for always believing in these characters and waiting for us to finish the story. It’s meant so much to me to bring Chloe back to life and I can hardly wait for you to read what she’s been up to!
Sabbatini added:
Working on Power Rangers is a dream come true! I've been a huge fan of the series since when I was a child and I wish I could tell the Federico of twenty years ago that this day was going to come. Working with Melissa and Meghan was amazing, we are a great team!
You’ll be able to read Power Rangers Unlimited: Hyperforce #1 on July 19 at your favorite local comic shop or wherever you like to buy comics. The main cover is courtesy of Keyla Valerio with variant covers available from Goñi Montes and InHyuk Lee.
