Power Rangers recently got the spotlight on Hasbro’s Fan First Friday, and there were a number of things for fans to get excited about. At the beginning of February, most of the Power Rangers catalog was removed from Netflix and fans began freaking out about no longer being able to watch their favorite seasons. Hasbro has heard the cries and revealed that the various seasons will be rolled out on YouTube. The official channel currently has the re-versioned Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Season 1 and the official Power Rangers Kids channel is starting with Dino Charge and Dino Super Charge.

I would like to note that this is annoying for a few reasons. First, while I understand that this means more people will be able to watch Power Rangers because YouTube is free, I’m going to hate having to watch the show with annoying YouTube ads. Second, I don’t like the slow rollout method for an old series. I love the whole episode per week format for the latest season, but they seem to be doing a weekly upload of episodes for the older seasons. Please, just dump them on there faster like maybe a season a week or something like that.

Of course, with the premiere of Dino Fury right around the corner, there was some news there as well. We got some new images of the cast, a new poster, and most importantly, the opening credits and theme song were revealed. In my opinion, the song is not good. It’s lazy and doesn’t get you pumped like older theme songs. I don’t know that it’s my least favorite, but it’s definitely at the bottom of my list of favorite themes and the rest of the community appears to be in agreement from what I’ve seen. Am I wrong though? Is this song actually amazing and I’m just a snob with no taste?
