PREDATOR: BADLANDS “Kill Or Be Killed” Featurette Unleashes New Footage
The wait is almost over, and I can tell you right now — this movie delivers.
With Dan Trachtenberg’s Predator: Badlands hitting theaters this Friday, 20th Century Studios just dropped a brand-new “Kill or Be Killed” featurette, and it’s loaded with intense new footage that amps up the anticipation even more.
The studio also released an extended clip featuring Dek, Thia, and what looks like a new alien ally trying to survive a brutal chase through a jungle filled with massive carnivorous tree creatures. It’s wild, visceral, and filled with tension.
I’ve already had the chance to see Predator: Badlands, and I freakin’ loved it. There are definitely aspects that are going to split fans, mostly because the tone is way different from anything we’ve seen in the Predator franchise before, but that’s actually one of the reasons I liked it so much. It’s an epic sci-fi adventure and a classic hero’s journey.
Trachtenberg, who also directed Prey and 10 Cloverfield Lane, returns to the universe with an awesome new vision that pushes the mythology forward in some really cool ways.
This time, the story moves to a deadly, remote planet in the future where we meet a young Predator outcast, played by newcomer Dimitrius Schuster-Koloamatangi, who teams up with Thia, portrayed by Elle Fanning. Together, they embark on a dangerous mission across hostile terrain in search of the ultimate adversary.
Social media reactions have also been pouring in, with early viewers calling it “visually stunning,” “unpredictable,” and “the most original Predator story yet.”
Predator: Badlands opens exclusively in theaters on November 7. If you’re a fan of the Predator series, or just crave a fresh, high-stakes sci-fi adventure, I really hope you like this movie!
