Premiere Date Set For The Making of THE GODFATHER Series, THE OFFER
Paramount+ released a promo teaser for its upcoming series The Offer, which is a limited series that will tell the story behind the making of Francis Ford Coppola’s The Godfather. The teaser announces that the series will premiere on April 28th.
The Offer is based on Oscar-winning producer Al Ruddy’s never before revealed experiences of making the iconic film that was directed by Francis Ford Coppola.
Miles Teller is taking on the role of Rudy and he is joined by Matthew Goode as legendary producer Robert Evans, Giovanni Ribisi as mob boss Joe Colombo, Colin Hanks as Paramount executive Barry Lapidus, Dan Fogler will star as Francis Ford Coppola, Juno Temple as Bettye McCartt, Ruddy’s assistant, Burn Gorman as Charles Bluhdorn, Justin Chambers as Marlon Brando), Patrick Gallo as Mario Puzo, Josh Zuckerman as Peter Bart, Meredith Garretson as Ali MacGraw, Nora Arnezeder as Francoise Glazer, Paul McCrane as Jack Ballard, Anthony Skordi as Carlo Gambino, Jake Cannavale as Caesar, James Madio as Gino, Michael Rispoli as Tommy Lucchese, Stephanie Koenig as Andrea Eastman, Lou Ferrigno as Lenny Montana, Frank John Hughes as Frank Sinatra, and Danny Nucci as Congressman Mario Biaggi.
The first three episodes of the 10-episode series will be available to watch at launch. The remaining seven episodes will be available to stream weekly every Thursday.
The series is being written and executive produced by Michael Tolkin (Escape at Dannemora and The Player). Ruddy will also serve as executive producer alongside Leslie Greif and Nikki Toscano (Hunters), who is also serving as showrunner. Dexter Fletcher is attached to direct the first and last block of episodes in addition to executive producing the series.
