Prime Video Developing John Grisham’s BOYS FROM BILOXI Series with Patrick Macmanus at the Helm

Following the success of The Rainmaker on USA Network and the upcoming Universal Pictures film The Partner, Prime Video is stepping into the world of John Grisham with a new series adaptation of his 2022 bestseller, The Boys From Biloxi.

The series is being developed by Patrick Macmanus, known for Hulu’s The Girl From Plainville, who will write, executive produce, and serve as showrunner under his Littleton Road Productions banner. The show comes from UCP, a division of Universal Studio Group, which continues to expand its slate of prestige crime dramas.

The Boys From Biloxi dives deep into the criminal underworld of Mississippi’s Gulf Coast, telling the story of two childhood friends, one who becomes a prosecutor, the other the heir to a crime empire. Their lives inevitably clash as they’re pulled into a battle for justice, loyalty, and the fate of their hometown.

Macmanus’s track record in crafting gripping, true-crime-inspired television speaks for itself. He created Peacock’s Devil in Disguise: John Wayne Gacy, and served as creator and executive producer on Dr. Death.

With The Boys From Biloxi joining this expanding slate of Grisham adaptations, fans of the author’s sharp legal thrillers have a lot to look forward to.
