PRINCE OF PERSIA: THE SANDS OF TIME REMAKE Delayed to March
Over the past month, Ubisoft has released three big games: Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Immortals Fenyx Rising, and Watch Dogs Legion. All three have performed well for the company gaining favorable reviews. Well, the company has announced that their remake of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time has been delayed. I think this is 100% understandable after the crazy month they’ve had and the wacky year we have all had. I also think that this could be a great thing.
I watched the trailer for the remake around the time it was announced and I was not impressed. It looked underwhelming as a remake of a beloved game. I wasn’t alone either. I’ve seen so many people talk about how bad the remake looks. I’m hoping this is a Sonic the Hedgehog situation where the company is taking a look at some feedback and addressing it for the better. Sands of Time is a classic game for a reason. In reality, it doesn’t need a remake. If you’re going to commit to doing a remake though, you better wow the fans like Square Enix did with Final Fantasy VII.
Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake is now set to launch on March 18, 2021.
