PRISON BREAK is Getting a New Series on Hulu From MAYANS M.C. Co-Creator Elgin James
Prison Break is making a comeback with a new series being produced by Hulu. The project is in early development and it will be a new incarnation of the Fox drama. It’s written and executive produced by Mayans M.C. co-creator, executive producer, and showrunner Elgin James.
The series is described as a “new chapter, the new installment is set in the world of Prison Break.” Exact details of the story have not been revealed, but needless to say… it will focus on a prison break. The characters from the original show, Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller) and Lincoln Burrows’ (Dominic Purcell), are said to not be involved.
The original series follows the story of Michael Scofield, a brilliant structural engineer who intentionally gets himself incarcerated in the same prison as his wrongfully accused brother, Lincoln Burrows, who is on death row. Michael's master plan is to break his brother out of prison by meticulously designing an elaborate escape plan tattooed on his body and recruiting a group of fellow inmates to help execute it. As the series unfolds, audiences are taken on a high-stakes journey filled with conspiracies, betrayals, and intense action as the characters strive to outwit both the prison's authorities and external forces trying to stop them.
I enjoyed watching the original series! I have no idea if this revival will be good or not, but I’ll give it a shot. What are your thoughts on this new Prison Break project?
