PRISON BREAK Limited Series Gets The Greenlight From Fox

TV Prison BreakFOX by Joey Paur

Earlier this summer, we learned that Fox was looking to develop a limited series revival for Prison Break. That series has been in the works at the network for a couple of months, and now it has officially been announced! Prison Break is coming back and Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell will both be back to reprise their roles.

Creator/executive producer Paul Scheuring is currently writing the first of what will be ten episodes. The series will serve as a sequel to the first run of the show. It picks up several years after the end of the series, which ran from 2005 to 2009.

It's also reported that the revival will basically ignore the straight-to-video finale, which is a good thing. According to Deadline, the limited series will "provide a logical explanation to why the characters are alive and moving around the world." Fox’s Dana Walden said:

“The brothers and some of the iconic characters will be back, and it will address some questions in the series."

I really liked this series, and I thought it was fun to watch. I'll be looking forward to seeing where these characters ended up, and what will happen to them next.
