Producer Charles Roven Says MAN OF STEEL 2 Isn't Coming Anytime Soon

I'm curious to see how Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment proceed after Justice League is released. We've heard about the changes they've made to their plans to not focus as much on connecting the DC universe in their films. We've also heard that the fate of Flashpoint hangs in the balance as the studio is waiting to see how Justice League does before they proceed with it.

As of right now, we've got Aquaman, Shazam!, Wonder Woman 2, and The Batman all in various stages of development and we know they are happening for sure. One movie that fans have been waiting for, though, is Man of Steel 2.

There's been a lot of talk over the years about who will end up directing the film and the most recent names to be associated with the project is Matthew Vaughn (Kick-Ass, Kingsman), who says he wants to do a more modern version of Richard Donner's Superman

Well, it's going to be awhile before we see Man of Steel 2 happens. During a recent interview with The Washington Times, producer Charles Roven says the sequel isn't coming anytime soon and that there's currently no script. They are just kicking around "various story ideas" on where to take the character next.

I wasn't the biggest fan of the first Man of Steel movie, but after everything that Warner Bros. and the creative team have learned since then, I bet that whatever the sequel ends up being will be solid. It's just going to be a while before we see it!
