Production Date and Description Revealed for THE ETERNALS

While fans won’t learn about what’s happening post-Avengers: Endgame in the MCU until May at the earliest, we are learning a bit about pre-Endgame material. I feel like we’ve been learning a bit about Black Widow lately, but there’s another project that happens before the rest of the MCU. In fact, it happens a million years earlier. That’s right, I’m talking about The Eternals. We still don’t know too much, but thanks to Production Weekly (via CB) we’ve learned two things.

First, the film is set to begin production on August 1, 2019. Second, this description of the film was included as well:

The story of The Eternals is set millions of years ago when the cosmic beings known as the Celestials genetically experimented on humans, creating the super-powered individuals as well as more villainous off-shoots known as the Deviants. The two groups went on to battle each other throughout history to see which would eventually become the ultimate race. The story involves the love story between Ikaris, a man fueled by cosmic energy, and Sersi, who relishes in moving amongst humans.

The Eternals will be directed by Chloe Zhao and the script comes from Matthew and Ryan Firpo. Are you excited to see the Celestials more?
