Productions For THE BATMAN and JURASSIC WORLD: DOMINION Have Been Halted
The film productions for Matt Reeve’s The Batman and Colin Trevorrow’s Jurassic World: Dominion have been temporarily shut down over coronavirus concerns. This isn’t really surprising as most film and TV productions are being shut down in Hollywood until this all passes.
The Batman has been shooting on a sound stage in London since January and was planning to change locations to Liverpool. Warner Bros. thought it was best to go on hiatus during the location change.
Jurassic World: Dominon has been shooting in London since February, but the studio “felt it was the best move for the safety of all involved to delay the shoot indefinitely.”
It’s unknown at this time if the delay in production on these movies will impact their June 2021 release dates. I imagine they won’t, but we’ll see. I guess it depends on how long the productions are shut down for.
As or right now, Keanu Reeves’ Matrix 4 and Will Smith’s King Richard are still pressing forward… for now. The Matrix is shooting in Berlin, but in a soundstage where safety measures are being taken, while King Richard previously had to rearrange their shooting due to bad weather in Los Angeles.
Oh! And here’s a teaser poster for Jurassic World: Dominion.
