PROJECT NOMAD Would Have Been the GOTHAM KNIGHTS of POWER RANGERS

Over the weekend, Power Rangers fans were treated to a huge revelation. Jason Bischoff took to Twitter to talk about Project Nomad. This was a video game project that Bischoff was trying to spearhead back in the day that would’ve probably released in 2016.

This would’ve been an open world cooperative game similar to Gotham Knights for Power Rangers. Sadly, the game never got very far despite favorable feedback from developers and publishers. However, Bischoff did share some freaking amazing art for Project Nomad that is absolutely incredible.

I wish that the 2017 movie had looked like this. It has an alien armor look instead of spandex and the Tyrannosaurus Zord in the final picture looks like it’s related to the 2017 Zord, albeit much cooler.

I would love it if this game got revived in some capacity or even if they just took the concept art from this and applied them somewhere else.

As a video game ex-pat (then at Saban), I had hoped to BusDev an ambitious, open world co-op that captured the energy, teamwork, and history of the franchise through a fresh lens.

Sadly, with so much circulating through the studio at the time, there was no bandwidth or budget to support. What I did have, however, was an invaluable 'blessing' to independently explore... and explore I did! ⚡️ #powerdown 3/6

Calling on old friends, we built the pitch we wanted to see. While these looks were never intended to be final, I think it's safe to say we were onto something compelling!

While early talks with Devs/Publishers was favorable, ultimately time + big shifts in our business saw conversations around Project Nomad peter out.
