Promo Teaser For Netflix's Upcoming Cyberpunk Series ALTERED CARBON - "You Can Live Forever"

A few days ago some concept art surfaced giving us our possible first look at Netflix's upcoming cyberpunk sci-fi series Altered Carbon. The series is said to be Netflix’s most expensive genre show to date, with a budget of $6 to $7 million per episode.

Today Netflix has released the first teaser trailer for the series which is basically an advertisement for Psychasec, which the company behind the technology that the story revolves around. This technology promises new young and sexy bodies to the highest bidder.

Altered Carbon is a 10-episode series based on the bestselling novel by Richard K. Morgan. The story is set in a distant future where people can transfer their consciousness from body to body, making immortality a reality. Society is divided between people who can afford to live forever and those who can't, creating modern gods who keep themselves above and apart from everyone else. The story follows a soldier (played by Joel Kinnaman) who is “resleeved,” or transferred, into a police officer’s body in order to investigate a conspiracy.

The series was written and produced by Avatar co-writer Laeta Kalogridis, and it will be released sometime in 2018. I'm looking forward to seeing how this show turns out! I'm definitely intrigued!
