PUBG Launches A New Website Called "Fix PUBG"

Yesterday, PUBG Corp. acknowledged the most common grievance of PUBG players, which they will attempt to address in a new initiative called “Fix PUBG.” The developer launched a website of the same name, where they detailed the specific categories they wish to improve. The team is adamant in their plans to “destroy bugs, deliver long-needed quality-of-life features, and take [PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds] to the next level by shipping fundamental performance improvements.” In a span of three months, the developer will allocate significant resources in addressing those issues. 

“Bugs, performance problems, and quality-of-life issues have been limiting PUBG’s true potential, and you want it fixed,” says PUBG Corp. on the Fix PUBG site. “So we think it’s time to do something about it.”

As a start, a massive update was released for both the PC and Xbox versions of the game, fixing many of the issues mentioned in the Fix PUBG roadmap. Currently, 37 out of 100 bugs and quality-of-life issues have been resolved. Moreover, the game is known for its poor optimization even for high-end PCs, and leaving the Early Access status did not change a thing. The team made it known that they are very much aware of this issue and plans to improve both client and server performances. 

After PUBG’s closest competitor, Fortnite Battle Royale, have taken much of the spotlight these days, it seems that PUBG is finally taking a step in the right direction by improving the overall quality of the game instead of focusing on how Epic Games and other developers with similar IPs copied their concept. Taking a look at the Steam reviews for the game, which have been “Mostly Negative,” clearly reflects the need for the developer to address the long list of issues that fans have been shouting out for a long time now.
