Quentin Tarantino Casts His Charles Manson and Roman Polanski in ONCE UPON A TIME IN HOLLYWOOD
Director Quentin Tarantino continues to build his cast for Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. Damon Herriman (Justified) has been cast in the role of Charles Manson in the film and Rafal Zawierucha will play director Roman Polanski, Sharon Tate’s husband. Meanwhile, Danny Strong, Sydney Sweeney, Rumer Willis, Dreama Walker, Margaret Qualley, Costa Ronin, Victoria Pedretti and Madisen Beaty have been cast in the film as well. I can’t believe how massive this cast list is getting. I’m pretty sure that next week we’ll get a notice saying that everyone is in the film.
According to The Wrap, Rumer Willis will play British actress Joanna Pettet; "Walker plays actress and singer Connie Stevens and Ronin (The Americans) portrays Polish actor Voytek Frykowski, who was one of the victims of the Manson Family’s murder spree at Roman Polanski’s home on Cielo Drive." Qualley will take on the role of a character named Kitty Kat, Beaty portrays Katie and Pedretti is Lulu.
Tarantino's new film has been described as a Pulp Fiction-like film that centers on characters around Los Angeles in the summer of 1969. The Manson Family murders serve as a backdrop to the story, which follows the two lead characters Rick Dalton (Leonardo DiCaprio), a former star of a western TV series, and his longtime stunt double Cliff Booth (Brad Pitt). Both are struggling to make it in a Hollywood they don’t recognize anymore. But Rick has a very famous next-door neighbor…Sharon Tate (Margot Robbie), who will be played by Robbie.
Damian Lewis will play Steve McQueen; Dakota Fanning is set as Squeaky Fromme, the Manson follower who later tried to assassinate President Gerald Ford; Nicholas Hammond will play director Sam Wanamaker; and Emile Hirsch is playing Jay Sebring, the Hollywood hairstylist who was one of four victims in the Tate murders. Luke Perry will play Scotty Lancer, Clifton Collins Jr. will play Ernesto The Mexican Vaquero, Keith Jefferson is Land Pirate Keith, and Al Pacino is playing Marvin Schwarz, who will be DiCaprio’s character’s agent in the story.
The movie also stars James Marsden, Michael Madsen, Timothy Olyphant, Burt Reynolds, Tim Roth, Austin Butler, Lena Dunham, Maya Hawke, and Lorenza Izzo. Then there's Mike Moh who will play Bruce Lee.
Once Upon a Time in Hollywood will be released on July 26th, 2019.
