Quentin Tarantino Debunks Theory About What His Final Film THE MOVIE CRITIC Will Be About

Quentin Tarantino recently took part in a Q&A event at the Grand Rex Theater in Paris, France. While there, he teased a few details about his upcoming final film project The Movie Critic. One of the big bits of news to come out of that was that he debunked a theory that the story will center on world-renowned writer Pauline Kael.

Kael was “one of the most influential movie critics of all time. Kael, who died in 2001, was not just a critic but also an essayist and novelist. She was known for her pugnacious fights with editors as well as filmmakers.” While the filmmaker has a deep respect for Kael, she will not be the focus of his movie.

During the event, Tarantino also revealed he will start shooting the film in Los Angeles this fall, and the story will be set in 1977.

Other than that, we don’t have any other information to share. We have no idea what the story will be about, but I’m excited to find out!
