Quentin Tarantino Had an Idea For a GODZILLA Movie He Wanted To Make
At one point in his career, director Quentin Tarantino wanted to make a Godzilla movie. He had a pitch for it, but unfortunately, nothing ever happened with it. I’m not a big fan of what is happening with the current American version of Godzilla. While the recent films are filled with action, the stories and human character development could use a lot of work.
Games Radar recently shared a quote from Tarantino talking about what he wanted to with the legendary Kaiju, and this is what he said:
“I have an idea for a Godzilla movie that I've always wanted to do. The whole idea of Godzilla's role in Tokyo, where he's always battling these other monsters, saving humanity time and again - wouldn't Godzilla become God?
“It would be called Living Under The Rule Of Godzilla . This is what society is like when a big fucking green lizard rules your world.”
I’d love to see Tarantino’s version of the movie get made! That’s a great concept for a Godzilla movie and I think Tarantino would have done some awesome and unique things with the story and the monster.
