Quentin Tarantino Reveals His Favorite Marvel Movie So Far...
In the upcoming issue of Empire Magazine, director and film aficionado Quentin Tarantino talked a bit about the movies he has been trying to catch up on recently. As he has been working hard on his own films the last few years, he hasn’t been able to keep up with the Avengers film saga, but still considers himself a fan, and wanted to be prepared to watch the final film in the series, Avengers: Endgame. So he started to watch the movies he had missed, and here’s what he had to say:
"I haven't been keeping up to date with them for, I guess, the last four years. I think the only comic book movies I saw last year at theaters were Wonder Woman and Black Panther. But about a couple of weeks ago I started catching up with some of the Marvel movies so I could go see Endgame. I just finished Captain America: Civil War, so next up is Doctor Strange."
"Actually, the last one I saw was [Thor:] Ragnarok. I loved it. It was my favorite one of the series since The Avengers - drastically my favorite."
That doesn’t surprise me at all. Thor: Ragnarok is a fantastic movie, and is really set apart from the rest of the MCU with the way it uses humor and storytelling. Although, Tarantino still had a few films left to view before completing his run, so Thor: Ragnarok was only his favorite up until that point. So it could have changed, but it’s fun to hear that Tarantino did an MCU binge like so many of us fans did leading up the finale of the series.
Do you agree with Tarantino’s choice? What’s your favorite MCU film?
