Quicksilver Runs Up Walls in X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST Photo
Director Bryan Singer must be aware of the hate being thrown his way for his interpretation of Quicksilver in X-Men: Days of Future Past. I understand that the character’s part in this film takes place decades in the past, but actor Evan Peters’ peculiar outfit and outrageous hair look downright silly after looking at the set photos of Aaron Johnson’s version of Quicksilver in Joss Whedon’s Avengers: Age of Ultron.
The last couple of things released for Days of Future Past featuring Quicksilver haven’t helped much either. The Carl’s Jr. tie-in ad has been the only glimpse of Quicksilver’s power in action. Then there’s this new still of Peters racing up a wall. While it’s 100% consistent with his abilities in the comics, I don’t think it’s the exciting image that is gonna win over unbelievers. Perhaps the new trailer, which drops April 15th, will spotlight the mutant and his superspeed abilities. Until then, let The Matrix jokes begin!
X-Men: Days of Future Past hits theaters May 23rd.
