RADIANT BLACK #4 is Getting a Gorgeous Wraparound Cover for Its Second Printing

Radiant Black is one of my favorite comic series. It’s a new one, but it’s incredible. Kyle Higgins and Marcelo Costa are brilliant and Radiant Black #4 has blown the minds of fans everywhere. Image Comics has announced that the latest issue sold out on release day and has been rushed back for a second printing. While this isn’t unheard of or anything, the new wraparound cover for Radiant Black #4 is absolutely stunning. Drawn by Costa and colored by Igor Monti, the cover shows Black and Red fighting and I can’t get over it.

It was always going to come to this, in Radiant Black #4: fans are front-and-center to a knock-down, drag-out fight—between Nathan and the mysterious Radiant Red—across the city of Lockport! After this fight, nothing will ever be the same again. For Lockport or for Radiant Black.

I highly recommend reading this series and Higgins wasn’t kidding when he said that the latest issue changes everything. Sharing his excitement for the series and gratitude to the fans, Higgins said:

One of the things that excited Marcelo, Michael and myself about launching a creator owned superhero series, was the possibility—and honestly, the responsibility—that we take Big, Bold swings. There are a lot of superhero books on the stands each month—but there aren't a lot of superhero books where truly anything can happen. This is one of them. We have a plan. It's big, it's bold, it's ambitious as hell... and this is just the beginning. But first, to readers and to retailers, thank you so, so much for your support. Especially, since Radiant Black is about to get even crazier…

The second printing of Radiant Black #4 will be available on June 16, the same day that Radiant Black #5 is available. We don’t know much about the next issue, but it will be the “extra-length, explosive climax to the first story arc” and feature artist Eduardo Ferigato (The Trials of Ultraman) and colorist Natália Marques joining Costa and Higgins on the issue. I’m very excited and mad that I have to wait until next month to keep reading this story.
