Ralph Macchio Talks About Bringing the Best of THE KARATE KID PART III to COBRA KAI Season 4
When you think of The Karate Kid franchise, you think of the first film, maybe even the second film (and its great theme song), and naturally the fantastic sequel series Cobra Kai that we have been enjoying. Not too many people think of The Karate Kid Part III, as it was surely the weakest of the trilogy, but franchise and series star Ralph Macchio assures fans that just as the series incorporated the second film into the show’s third season, the best aspects of the third film are being brought to the upcoming fourth season.
In a recent interview with Empire, Macchio spoke about the upcoming season and its returning Part III character, saying:
“There’s another angle to Terry Silver, and when you call upon those stories and dive into the grey areas, it expands the universe and the story. It’s this chance to take something that didn’t work, and try to make fruit out of it. Can it bear fruit? It has. Season four is next level.”
I believe it. I feel like Cobra Kai started out strong, and has only upped the ante with every season. I love this show so much, and I can’t wait to see what happens next season as Terry Silver returns to the picture.
Cobra Kai season 4 is set to drop on December 31st. Are you pumped?!
