Rami Malek (Mr. Robot, Bohemian Rhapsody) is currently in negotiations to star in the upcoming cop thriller entitled Little Things, alongside Denzel Washington (Training Day, Fences). John Lee Hancock, known for writing and directing The Blind Side, will be directing from the script he wrote for the film.

Washington is set to play a seasoned deputy sheriff, and if Malek is cast, he will play “a sharp young detective who teams with a seen-it-all deputy sheriff on the hunt for a serial killer. The sheriff has a nose for the ‘little things’ that are helpful in putting clues together, but he’s got baggage and a willingness to cut corners that bristles with his younger partners.”

Sounds very similar to Training Day! But that’s not a bad thing. I would love to see Malek in this type of role. It seems like he can pretty much play any part, and we haven’t really seen him do something like this. Little Things will begin production this September. Are you excited for a Washington/Malek teamup?
