Rami Malek Is in Final Negotiations to Play Villain in BOND 25
I imagine that Rami Malek is still flying high off his Best Actor Oscar win this past weekend, and now he’s looking to his future film projects. One of those projects is writer and director Cary Joji Fukunaga‘s Bond 25.
Collider is reporting that the actor is in negotiations to join the film as the main villain. Malek is a great actor and it’s really not that hard to imagine him as a Bond villain.
MGM recently announced that the release date of the film would be April 8, 2020. The film is said to start shooting in April ,and Scott Z. Burns (The Bourne Ultimatum, Contagion) was recently brought on to rewrite the script that was previously worked on by Bond franchise scribes Neal Purvis and Robert Wade.
Daniel Craig is set to return as Bond one last time, and he will be joined by Lea Seydoux as psychiatrist Dr Madeleine Swann, Ralph Fiennes as M, Ben Whishaw as Q, and Naomie Harris as Moneypenny. It’s also being reported that Lupita Nyong’o is up for a key role in the film.
There are no details regarding the story that this next chapter will tell or how the story arcs for these characters will play out, but it’ll be interesting to see what kind of Bond villain Malek will end up playing.
