Randall Park Is Set to Star in a Netflix Sitcom Set in a Blockbuster Video Store

Ant-Man and the Wasp and WandaVision actor Randall Park is set to star in an upcoming Netflix original sitcom series that’s set in a Blockbuster Video store.

The series is titled ,, and it’s set in a fictionalized version of the last Blockbuster in the world. The series is said to be similar vein to the likes of shows such as The Office and Netflix’s Space Force and will see a workforce trying to save a dying business.

It’s an ensemble comedy, placed in the last Blockbuster Video in America, that explores what it takes – and more specifically, who it takes – for a small business to survive in a dying industry, in a dying strip mall, in a dying town.

There is actually one Blockbuster Video store left standing and it’s located in Bend, Oregon. There’s a documentary about the store that was released last year titled The Last Blockbuster.

The 10-episode half-hour series will be written by Vanessa Ramos who will also serve as showrunner and as an executive producer. Ramos is known for her work on such comedy series as Superstore, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Crashing, and more.

This could be a fun series, especially with Park starring in it. He’s a pretty entertaining guy!
