Rare Never-Before-Seen Footage of William Friedkin's THE EXORICIST Has Been Unearthed
If you’re a fan of William Friedkin’s The Exorcist, I’ve got a video here that you’ve got to watch! Documentarian and horror film fan Paul Davis has unearthed over a half-hour of never-before-seen footage from the film featuring rare outtakes and deleted footage. This video was originally posted on Halloween, then it was removed from YouTube, but now it’s back and we’re able to share!
This is pretty awesome to watch and it includes commentary from Davis offering some insight on the footage that is being presented. Some of the footage includes a deleted scene where Regan and Chris MacNeil take a sightseeing trip in Washington, DC. We also get to see behind-the-scenes footage of the chilling spider-walk scene that was initially cut from the original theatrical release.
There are also alternate takes of Regan experiencing the first of her possession symptoms, the Pazuzu makeup test, which we previously shared. We also see footage of Linda Blair injuring herself while performing one of the bed stunts. The injuries that she sustained from that followed her as she grew up.
This is seriously a fascinating video worth your time to watch.
