Raven Has Been Cast in The New Live-Action Teen Titans Series TITANS

As you know, Warner Bros. TV is currently developing a live-action Teen Titans series called Titans, which fans seem pretty excited about. The show is being developed by Greg Berlanti (Arrow, DC’s Legends Of Tomorrow, The Flash, Supergirl), Akiva Goldsman (A Beautiful Mind, Cinderella Man, Star Trek: Discovery), and Geoff Johns (The Flash, Arrow).

Today we learned from Deadline that they have cast a young actress in the role of Raven, who is a fan favorite character. The part went to a 13-year-old Australian actress named Teagan Croft. I'm not familiar with her work, but she's got a look that is perfect for the role.

The story for Titans revolves "around the eponymous group of young Super Heroes-to-be from the DC Universe. The action series centers on Dick Grayson (probably best known for his alter ego as Robin), who emerges from the shadow of Batman to become Nightwing, the leader of a fearless band of new Super Heroes including Starfire, Raven, and many others."

Croft’s version of Raven is described as "the daughter of a demon", and "a powerful empath who must keep her emotions in check or risk unleashing her demonic side."

The series scheduled to premiere in 2018 as one of the first series that will launch a DC-branded digital service.
